Ladies of the Canyon (1970)Hooray for the hippie! ... Mitchell gets even simpler here with this collection of succinct, organic-sounding songs that made every hippie happy. ... Mingus (1979)Mitchell collaborates with the jazz musician that bears the album's title, and comes up with quite an impressive artistic statement! Anybody who likes art music should defitely have this in their collection. ... The gimmick of including guerilla recordings of Mingus in his last days kind of spoiled the album. Overall Album Score: 9.1 out of 10 Average Song Score: 9.1
