Brief album summaries:

All the Young Dudes (1972)

All the young duuuuuudes, carry the newwwwws! Even though Mott the Hoople very well was an existant and functioning rock-and-roll band before All the Young Dudes, this is the beginning of Mott the Hoople during their more famous Glam years.

Overall Album Score: 8.3 out of 10

Average Song Score: 8.4
Album Tilt: 8.5
Artist Tilt: 8.0

Mott (1973)

The follow-up! ... And it's mostly not-Glam. It's a lesser effort compared to All the Young Dudes, but who's comparing?

Overall Album Score: 7.7 out of 10

Average Song Score: 8.1
Album Tilt: 7.5
Artist Tilt: 7.5

The Hoople (1974)

It's slightly *better* than Mott ... but any brand of apple sauce is favorable to me.

Overall Album Score: 7.9 out of 10

Average Song Score: 8.3
Album Tilt: 8.0
Artist Tilt: 7.5

I think Mott the Hoople was the greatest band ever!!

The first song I heard was Roll away the stone, in my daddys car...and I first thought, man that voice is pretty cool!!

Now 1 year later and I cant stop love them, I love everything about them, I really do...they are the best!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanna thank you Mott the Hoople for playing so good music...."Now it is a mighty long way down rock n roll"
